1Password users can now share Wi-Fi passwords using a QR Code

1Password is a password manager developed by the Canadian software company AgileBits Inc. It supports multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, and macOS. 1Password makes it easy to generate, store, and autofill passwords for all your online accounts, on all your devices. Wi-Fi passwords are often long, confusing, and difficult to remember, so having a method to share it quickly and easily can save time and frustration. But now that 1Password has rolled out a new update to its app, you no longer have to worry about entering Wi-Fi credentials. Rather than typing the Wi-Fi password by hand or copying it from a message, you’ll simply have to scan a QR code from 1Password that will get you logged in. Of course, there’s one obvious shortcoming: For everything to work, the person or establishment sharing the password with you would have to have 1Password installed.
