BharatPe Rebrands Postpe App, Launches UPI TPAP, and Joins ONDC Ecosystem to Empower Local Businesses

In a major move to enhance user experience and broaden its digital payment solutions, BharatPe announced the rebranding of its Postpe app to BharatPe at the end of August. The rebranding aims to offer a unified platform catering to both merchants and consumers, simplifying digital transactions and delivering an enhanced user experience.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe, said, “In August end, we rebranded Postpe app to BharatPe with the objective of providing a unified platform and an enhanced experience to both merchants and consumers. With the recent launch of UPI TPAP, we aim to further drive the adoption of digital payments by enabling millions across the length and breadth of Bharat to make seamless and secure UPI transactions.”

BharatPe has also joined the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a government-backed initiative designed to promote local businesses through digital platforms. By integrating the ONDC Network into its app, BharatPe users will now be able to order and have food delivered, creating new opportunities for small and independent food outlets.

Mr. Negi emphasized the significance of this move, adding, “We are excited to participate in the ONDC ecosystem to offer a relevant use case to our users, who can now order and get food delivered via our BharatPe app. This resonates well with our mission to empower the growth of local businesses. With ONDC Network live on our app, thousands of small and independent food outlets will be able to reach new and larger sets of consumers and grow their business.”

He concluded by expressing his gratitude to ONDC for their collaboration and reaffirmed BharatPe’s commitment to further expanding its offerings. “We stay committed to adding new verticals and exploring synergies to offer best-in-class experiences to our users,” Mr. Negi stated.

BharatPe’s move to integrate ONDC is expected to drive digital adoption and contribute to the growth of local businesses across India.
