Hybris is a German company that sells enterprise omnichannel and product content management software. It is a subsidiary of SAP SE. Hybris was founded in Zug, Switzerland, in 1997 by Carsten Thoma, Moritz Zimmermann, Klaas Hermanns, Christian Flaccus and Andreas Bucksteeg. Hybris, a cloud-based e-commerce platform solution for B2B and B2C enterprises, was acquired by SAP in 2013. Hybris’ industry-proven, cloud-based e-commerce, and digital marketing solutions are now available as SAP Commerce Cloud – a part of the SAP Customer Experience portfolio. SAP acquired hybris to challenge the e-commerce market. Delivered through the SAP Commerce Cloud solution, hybris’ omnichannel e-commerce capabilities are deeply integrated into the SAP cloud ecosystem – giving sellers the enhanced data and tools to optimise margins and drive customer loyalty.
